About Cathy Cochran

  • Cathine’s objective, like any artists’, is to freeze a moment or object for others to gaze upon and savor. The interpretation, be it abstract or realistic, is an array of color and movement.

The Colors used are like that of a prism…so that what you see as one color is really a combination, of all the colors projected by light. This gives the painting depth, warmth and holds the viewer’s attention.

One of the unique things that all her oil paintings have is stand of her hair. This is her way of leaving a small piece of herself, DNA if you will, in her work.

Commissioned works are always welcome and prices on some pieces are negotiable.

It is her wish, that her pieces bring a sense of bliss, as it did for her as she created them. It is her gift to you - painting is her life’s work.

Her paintings have shown in museums and hang in private collections throughout the U.S. and U.K.
